No. 08 · The rate card
What it costs, before you ask.
Most shops around here have to sit through a call to find out a number. You don't. These are the rates, they're the same for every business on the island, and one new customer a month covers the monthly ones.

Build · Then ongoingThe Rowboat Paid yearly
For the one-person trade that just needs to exist online. A single page - who you are, what you do, every way to reach you - set in one of three ready layouts. It goes up and it stays up. No changes are included in the year and there is no assistant, so it is the cheapest way to be somewhere real; if something does need editing, it is $125 like any one-off change below. One yearly amount, paid in advance and renewed the same way. When you want it drawn around your trade and edited as you go, that step is The Skiff.

The Skiff One page
For the one-person shop. A single page that does the whole job: who you are, what you do, and every way to reach you, drawn to fit your trade rather than picked off a shelf. The monthly means it's run for you - the site stays up, stays current, and gets one content change a month. You supply the words and photos; I make them look like they belong.

then $99/mo
The Cutter Most shops
A full site, up to five pages, built to fit your trade on your own domain. Run for you with two content changes a month, and the assistant answering the people who land on it, day or night, in your shop's own voice. When one page stops being enough, this is the step.
from $1,500
then $179/mo
The Galleon
Six to ten pages, for a shop with more to say. Anything past ten pages gets counted first and quoted as one fixed total before work starts. The monthly is The Care below, exactly as published: the assistant, three content changes with priority on your work, backups, software updates and uptime monitoring, with its $499 setup waived when you pay the year.
from $2,400
then $349/mo
The Skiff, Cutter and Galleon: 50% deposit on the build, and the monthly starts when your site goes live - month to month, no minimum. The Rowboat is the one exception, paid a year at a time with the build inside it. A content change is a price, a photo, new hours, or one page reworked; unused changes don't stack. Your domain and your pages are yours, and they go with you.
Every site here is built AI-ready - the structure and markup that let search and AI tools actually read it. Sold elsewhere as an add-on; standard in every build. And every build comes with a proper hello@your-domain email address, set up and forwarding to the inbox you already use.
Month to month
Rate · SetupThe Watch
An assistant on your website that answers customers in your voice, day or night, and emails you the ones worth calling back with the whole conversation attached. This covers the volume a normal shop sees; if yours runs a lot busier, there are larger plans and I will tell you before it becomes a problem, not after.
$99per month
No setup fee
The Care Most shops
Everything in The Watch, plus three content changes a month and priority on your work, with your site kept running for you - software updates, backups and uptime monitoring. Anything bigger gets quoted before it starts, so a month can never cost more than $349 without you agreeing to it first.
Partner level on Just Ask Amelia, a $99/yr value. Your website link shows wherever your card appears, on your listing and on any island guide page you come up on. Where you place in an answer is not affected by it, and is not for sale.

Missed-call text-back
When you can't pick up, the caller gets a text back within seconds and a real conversation starts. Added to The Watch or The Care. Ask me about this one directly, it depends on carrier registration for your business and I'd rather quote it honestly than publish a number I can't hold to.
Ask
Bookings and calendar
On its own the assistant answers and takes a message. Connected to your calendar it goes further: it checks the openings you actually have, books the appointment while the customer is still in the conversation, and puts it straight on your calendar with a confirmation to both of you. It works with the booking system you already run rather than replacing it. Added to The Watch or The Care. Quoted per setup, because what it connects to differs shop to shop, so ask and I'll price it honestly.
Ask
Selling online
Your site fronts the store you already run: your name, your domain, checkout handing off to Square, Shopify or wherever you sell. You keep managing your own products and prices. No store yet? I'll build you one, in your own account. Quoted per shop.
Ask
Google listing & review care
Your Google listing kept current - photos, posts, hours - and every review answered in your shop's own voice. The glowing ones get a proper thank-you; anything with a complaint comes to you first as a text, with the reply already drafted, and nothing posts without your say-so. This one is new: I'm running it with a first few shops before I print a number, so ask and I'll quote it honestly.

Pay for the year
Ten months for twelve, and the setup fee comes off. The Watch is $990 for the year and The Care is $3,490, which saves you $1,197. This is the only way the setup fee gets waived.
2 monthsfree
Every monthly plan is month to month. No minimum term, no notice period, no cancellation fee.

No. 09 · Plain dealing
The part most people find out later.
- Your website, your phone number and your customer data all stay yours. If you leave, you take them with you and nothing of yours stays behind.
- Your domain and your Google listing stay in your name, never mine. The domain runs about twenty dollars a year on your own card, straight to the registrar, and I never mark it up or hold it. Google only lets a business owner verify a listing, so for that one I hand you a one-page guide that walks it start to finish.
- No minimum term and no notice period. Month to month means month to month.
- The monthly plans are sized for a normal local business. A shop doing many times that volume needs a bigger plan, and you would hear that from me early and in plain numbers, never as a surprise line on a bill.
- These are the real rates, and they are where a quote starts. What a shop actually needs varies, so the shape can move to fit the work, and you always see the number before anything begins.
- Nothing costs more than the number you agreed to. Bigger jobs get quoted before they start, never after.
- One local person on the other end, not a ticket queue and not an account manager in another state.
Not sure which one fits? - tell it roughly what your shop does and how people usually get hold of you, and it will tell you which of these is right, including if the answer is none of them.
